Fauna

The Canada jay (perisoreus candensis) also known as the grey jay or whisky jack is said to become Canadas new national bird. These birds are unique because they nest in February when it's still freezing cold. The Gray Jay has a diet made up of seeds, nuts, insects, fungi, and other little things like small rodents. It is found across the boreal forest of the northern United States and Canada, as well as in high mountain ranges of the West.

The Grizzly Bear also known as Ursus arctos, has an average life span of 25 years. The grizzly eats a main diet of fish, moose, elk, deer, berries, and sometimes bird eggs. Grizzly's are found in dense forests, Subalpine meadows, open plains and the Arctic Tundra.

The yellow Bellied Marmot also known as Marmota flaviventris is active during April to mid August and then goes into hibernation during Autumn and Winter. They are the same family as ground squirrels and prairie dogs. these are some of the predators  badgers, eagles, horned owls, and coyotes. There diet is any sort of green

vegetation.

A female and male Elk both have a tan fur coat with a dark brown neck, head and legs. The difference is a male has large antlers. Elk are ruminant animals because they regurgitate their food and re-digest it, Which brings me to the fact that they have 4 stomach chambers one to store food and the other 3 to digest it. They need this because they eat twigs and bark during the winter and in the summer they eat lots of vegetation.
